Preschool Graduation

I'm pretty sure even my high school graduation wasn't this big of a deal!! My sweet Gavin is growing up! Now he's off to kindergarten! He enjoys anything not chocolate these days, loves to go swimming, and you can't see it in this photo, but anytime he gets close to me he plays with my hair. He loves to cuddle and will be friends with anyone and everyone! I'm proud of my little boy!! Boy does time fly.....

Birthday MANIA!!!

We had a great time celebrating the boys 4th and 5th birthdays! Oh boy...they are growing up! They received some great action figures and stuff for their church bags, and even the bestest homemade capes they have ever seen!! Ian and Stella made their way up from Cedar....and the boys were so excited to have them at our house! After presents everyone went swimming, even the regular grandpa!! Must've been a special occasion! Everyone enjoyed the icecream cakes....as you can see Noah especially enjoyed his! I know you are all thinking that he isn't my son, until you see his cheesy grin...man that kid is so much like me!!! Its a little bit scary! I will be registering Gavin for Kindergarten this year...OH MY! He is so very excited to go to school! As always we had a great time, great food, but most important great family! Thanks everyone who took time to come and spend Gav and Noah's birthdays with us....it wouldn't have been the same without all of you!!

DIY project

My parents gave me this bookshelf, so we decided to refinish it! I have actually documented our progress through the whole project, and I am very happy with the end result!!!

Halloween

The boys were knights this year! I tried to have them be something awesome, but they had to have weapons! So here's our compromise! They really loved their costumes this year! Also our new tradition at the Jex house, duct tape pumpkins! Yes, they were a pretty clean way to decorate them, and also enjoyable for us parents! It's a win, win I tell you!

Summer Family Picture

We had family pictures down in Milford with the family in July....and it's only now that I'm getting it up! I'd like to blame my mom for this post, she didn't even get me a copy of these pictures until recently! :)

The last 8 months.....

We've been busy, busy the last little while, so yes we are still alive and doing well. This is a long blog post, so be prepared to spend a while! This one's for you Nic! The boys turned 3 & 4 in March, and boy does that make me feel old! We ventured down to Cedar City to be with our family and the new pool there! The kids had a great time, and Gavin only almost drowned like 5 times trying to keep up with Ian! Noah wasn't so sure about the water, but loved going down the kiddie slide after he tried it!!

We went back to Vegas for our one year anniversary! We did a lot of window shopping, and people watching, too much walking, and saw Cirque De Soleil "O"....and man it was amazing!! We even drove past our church that we got married at for good old reminiscing....it was nice to have a good laugh!!!

Noah went in to go poop, and he always yells when he's done.....I went in to find this :)

Gavin broke his arm the week we were moving....of course! He fell off the couch in our other apartment and I heard the snap....ewwww. He was a brave little guy during the whole encounter. He had to have surgery with two pins placed, and pictured below is him in his cast! He did great with having that on for 6 weeks. He is now fully recovered with a pretty gnarly scare and has regained full motion of his elbow! My vote is for no more broken limbs ever again!

We became new home owners in April....and have absolutely been loving it! I've had a ball decorating of course and the kids have loved having more room to run around! I got Cory a new grill for our patio and the kids love hangin out in our little outdoor space!

Why is Noah hiding with his "cape" over his head still baffles me?! He's a silly boy!

That's right...we made the big step and got a dog! Her name is Daisy and so far has been pretty sweet. Miss Kes loves her to death....sometimes literally!

We went to Lagoon....and the kids had a great time....me and Cory on the other hand got a little worn out! The things we do for our kids...thanks mom and dad for trying to do activities with us when we were young! Gavin was the only brave one that would ride the roller coaster with dad....Kes wouldn't do it even with trying some bribery! Noah barely got on the cars, but after he tried it once wanted to go again and again! He mostly spent his time in the wagon hanging out!
